250W monocrystalline solar panel:

This high efficiency, waterproof 250W monocrystalline solar panel is perfect for permanent outdoor use to provide free electricity for charging 12V batteries to power various applications such as in a camper van, motorhome, boat, shed, farm, as well as remote applications such as telecommunications or monitoring equipment. It can also be used to provide a direct power supply for applications not sensitive to changes in input voltage / current (e.g. electric motors or pumps).

The panel is fitted with 5m of special solar cable which can work at high roof temperatures, with minimum power losses. A pair of male / female MC4 connectors are crimped on the end of cable for easy connection to other solar panels, your existing system or 6mm extension cable. The MC4 connectors can also be cut off when wiring to the screw terminals of a solar charge controller.

The long-lasting, high-efficiency monocrystalline solar cells and the tough, sealed, aluminium frame will give you years and years of consistent, free power. The waterproof design ensures that the panel can be used in all weather conditions.

This panel also features innovative 5 busbar solar cells, which are more efficient than the 2, 3 or 4 busbar solar cells used in most other solar panels, and are able to extract more power from the same surface area. This results in a smaller overall solar panel, which is ideal for applications where space is limited. These solar cells are also the best choice for applications in warmer climates, as they operate well even in high ambient temperatures.

The Morningstar SunSaver Duo 25A 12V dual battery solar charge controller is a high-quality and powerful solution, widely recognized as the leading dual battery controller on the market. It is ideal for caravans, motorhomes, boats, or systems with two batteries (e.g., an engine battery and a leisure battery). Users can set a charging priority, such as 90% to the leisure battery and 10% to the engine battery. Once one battery is fully charged, the controller automatically diverts power to the other.

Key features include a 5-year warranty with an estimated 15-year life, negative common ground compatibility, and epoxy encapsulation for protection against dust and humidity. Its four-stage PWM pulse charging extends battery life, while specific settings, like slow-switching charging mode, help avoid interference with sensitive loads. The controller is easy to install with factory presets, fully automatic operation, and fault recovery. It also reduces costs by charging two batteries without requiring separate solar systems. For single-battery setups, the unit automatically adjusts to deliver 100% of the charge and allows a second battery to be added later.

This kit also includes 2 x 5m 6.0mm² single core battery cable with 20A fuse for use between the solar charge controller and your battery, a set of 4 black corner and 4 black side mounting brackets for fixing the solar panel to the roof using an appropriate sealant (not included) and a waterproof black double cable entry gland for keeping the cable connection fully waterproof when mounting the panel outside and feeding the solar cables inside the vehicle / building / below deck.

The panel in this kit is covered by a 1 year warranty. The charge controller is covered by a 5 year warranty. For more information please refer to our Terms and Conditions.

In addition, solar cells are guaranteed to produce at least 90% of nominal power in 10 years after purchase and at least 80% of nominal power in 25 years after purchase. This warranty is provided by the manufacturer of solar cells.

It's very easy to wire this kit up: simply connect a working 12V battery to the solar charge controller (it will switch the battery light on to show that it has detected the battery and its voltage) - connect the battery "+" terminal to the "+" battery terminal of the solar controller, and the battery "-" terminal to the "-" battery terminal of the solar controller. Then connect the solar panel "+" cable to the "+" solar terminal of the controller, and the solar panel "-" cable to the "-" solar terminal of the controller (ideally some cover should be placed on the solar panel during the connection).
