2 x 120W monocrystalline solar panels:

The panel is fitted with 5m of special solar cable which can work at high roof temperatures, with minimum power losses. A pair of male / female MC4 connectors are crimped on the end of cable for easy connection to other solar panels, extension leads or to your existing system (the MC4 connectors can also be cut off when wiring to the screw terminals of a solar charge controller).

The long-lasting, high-efficiency monocrystalline solar cells and the tough, sealed, aluminium frame will give you years and years of consistent, free power. The waterproof design ensures the panel can be used in all weather conditions. 

This panel also features innovative 5 busbar solar cells, which are more efficient than the 2, 3 or 4 busbar solar cells used in most other solar panels, and are able to extract more power from the same surface area. This results in a smaller overall solar panel, which is ideal for applications where space is limited. These solar cells are also the best choice for applications in warmer climates, as they operate well even in high ambient temperatures.

25A Morningstar dual battery solar charge controller:

The Morningstar SunSaver Duo 25A 12V dual battery solar charge controller is a high-quality and powerful solution, widely recognized as the leading dual battery controller on the market. It is ideal for caravans, motorhomes, boats, or systems with two batteries (e.g., an engine battery and a leisure battery). Users can set a charging priority, such as 90% to the leisure battery and 10% to the engine battery. Once one battery is fully charged, the controller automatically diverts power to the other.

Key features include a 5-year warranty with an estimated 15-year life, negative common ground compatibility, and epoxy encapsulation for protection against dust and humidity. Its four-stage PWM pulse charging extends battery life, while specific settings, like slow-switching charging mode, help avoid interference with sensitive loads. The controller is easy to install with factory presets, fully automatic operation, and fault recovery. It also reduces costs by charging two batteries without requiring separate solar systems. For single-battery setups, the unit automatically adjusts to deliver 100% of the charge and allows a second battery to be added later.

Morningstar remote LCD meter RM-1:

The remote LCD display/meter provides comprehensive system monitoring by displaying various charging parameters, including solar panel current, battery voltages, amp-hours, temperature, logged data, settings, alarms, and error reports. Built-in LED lights also indicate battery level and operating state. Please note that available functions depend on the connected controller or inverter; for full details, refer to the user manual in the 'Documents' tab. The large numerical display and backlit menu, combined with easy-to-use buttons, make system navigation and monitoring straightforward.

This meter connects to a compatible Morningstar controller or inverter via a 10m RJ-11 cable and can be mounted directly onto a surface using the provided holes or flush-mounted by removing the frame. Designed for efficiency, it features an extremely low self-consumption of just 6mA with the backlight off and 15mA when the backlight is on, minimizing power loss.

Additional items:

This kit includes a set of 8 plastic corner mounting brackets  and 4 side mounting brackets for fixing the solar panel to the roof. The brackets can be bonded to the roof using an appropriate sealant (not included). The waterproof double cable entry gland included with the kit is perfect for getting cables from outside to inside and keeping the place fully waterproof. The kit also includes 2 x 5m 6mm² dual core battery cable with a 20A fuse, fuse holder and 8mm ring terminals, a pair of T-MC4 connectors and a pair of 5m 6mm² solar extension cables.

In addition, solar cells are guaranteed to produce at least 90% of nominal power in 10 years after purchase and at least 80% of nominal power in 25 years after purchase. This warranty is provided by the manufacturer of solar cells.

Electrical connection: the solar charge controller included in this kit is supplied with a detailed user manual which contains a wiring digram and explains installation / operations. Please ensure that you read the full user manual before starting the installation.

Fitting: the solar panel in this kit can be fitted to a flat roof using the plastic brackets and a suitable adhesive. For vehicle installs, it is recommended to run sandpaper or similar abrasion on the underside of the brackets to increase friction for a better bond.

The solar charge controller in this kit is not waterproof and should be mounted indoors.
