The RiiO Sun II is a versatile transformer-based all-in-one solar inverter, expertly designed for backup power, off-grid, and energy storage system (ESS) applications. This compact unit integrates a pure sine wave inverter, battery charger, MPPT solar charge controller, and a rapid 4ms automatic transfer switch, ensuring continuous operation for critical loads during outages while handling high surge loads with ease.

Key Functions:

1. Comprehensive all-in-one design: The RiiO Sun II combines multiple functionalities into one compact casing, including a pure sine wave inverter, advanced MPPT solar charge controller, and an efficient battery charger. This design simplifies installation and optimizes performance in various applications.

2. High surge capacity: Engineered to handle significant surge loads, the RiiO Sun II guarantees uninterrupted operation of essential appliances during power outages, providing peace of mind for off-grid living or backup scenarios. With a swift 4ms transfer time, it quickly switches to battery power during outages, ensuring your critical appliances remain operational.

3. Enhanced flexibility: The RiiO Sun II can be configured in parallel with up to 3 units in singles phase applications, or up to 9 units in three-phase applications, achieving a maximum output of 27KVA. This feature is ideal for larger installations where higher power demands are necessary.

4. ESS and grid-tie capabilities: The RiiO II inverter seamlessly integrates with the E4 LCD Monitor and IC-METER, unlocking advanced Energy Storage System (ESS) and grid-tie functionalities. This allows for maximising self-consumption which helps lower electricity bills through advanced peak shaving and time-of-use management. Additionally, it enables grid feed-in for utility credits, providing economic advantages for users.

5. 32A transfer switch: The AC transfer switch inside the RiiO Sun-II is rated up to 32A, allowing for up to 7.36kW of power to be passed through to the loads from the AC input when the inverter is in bypass.

Additional Intelligent Features:

  • AGS functionality: The Automatic Generator Start (AGS) function ensures efficient operation by activating the generator only when necessary, optimizing energy use.
  • Power assist and control for generators: Power assist enables a small generator to handle heavy loads by supplementing its capacity when needed. Power control ensures the generator operates at its optimal consumption level, maintaining a consistent output to significantly reduce fuel consumption.
  • User-friendly monitoring: Users can easily monitor performance through the Nova Web and mobile app via the TBB-KN2 Kinergy-II Wi-Fi module, this allows for control and adjustments from anywhere.
  • Reliable operation: The inverter features a 4ms ultra-fast switch to battery power, ensuring swift response during power interruptions. Additionally, it operates with an ECO Mode to prolong backup time while maintaining extremely low self-consumption.
  • Superior efficiency: With a maximum inverter efficiency of 91% and a maximum MPPT efficiency of 98%, the RiiO Sun II delivers optimal performance, maximizing energy capture and utilization.
  • Easy operation & maintenance: The all-in-one design facilitates straightforward installation and maintenance, ensuring hassle-free operation. The inverter automatically restarts when PV or AC power is restored, guaranteeing continuous availability.

 

Compatibility:

This solar inverter is compatible with a range of lithium battery brands and generators, making it a versatile choice for various energy needs. Its ability to work without a battery offers added flexibility for users seeking different operational configurations.

Please note: The option to work without a battery is only for single-use application with stable AC bypass supply, PV energy as a supplement for AC bypass.
