Function:

The Victron Energy GX LTE 4G-E is a cellular modem designed to provide mobile internet connectivity for compatible Victron GX devices and systems. It is an ideal solution for installations where a Wi-Fi or wired internet connection is unavailable, allowing you to monitor and control your Victron system remotely through the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal.

The GX LTE provides full internet connectivity for your GX device, enabling remote access to compatible equipment such as MultiPlus and Quattro inverter/chargers. This allows you to monitor a wider range of system parameters, adjust settings and configure compatible equipment remotely, offering many of the same benefits as a local internet connection.

This model is designed for use in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, South Korea and Thailand, subject to compatible cellular network coverage and frequency bands.

Key features:

• 4G mobile internet connectivity: Provides an internet connection for compatible Victron GX devices using available 2G, 3G and 4G cellular networks. This makes it particularly suitable for off-grid installations, motorhomes, boats and other remote systems without reliable Wi-Fi access.

• Remote monitoring & control: Connect your Victron system to the VRM portal to monitor system performance, check inverter parameters, review alerts and access compatible equipment remotely. The GX LTE enables remote configuration and adjustment of supported inverter/chargers, including MultiPlus and Quattro models, where the relevant functionality is available.

• Ideal for inverter-based systems: Unlike the Victron GlobalLink 520 and GlobalLink 530, which are primarily designed for remote monitoring of selected solar charging and energy systems, the GX LTE is intended for installations built around GX devices. It provides internet connectivity for the wider GX system, enabling access to a broader range of monitoring and control functions.

• GPS tracking capability: The GX LTE features a built-in GPS receiver. When used with the optional GPS antenna (sold separately), it can provide location information for viewing through the VRM portal, including location tracking and geofencing functionality where supported. This is particularly useful for monitoring mobile or remote assets such as motorhomes, boats and hybrid generators.

• Simple USB connection: The GX LTE connects to a compatible GX device using the supplied 1m USB cable, providing a straightforward way to add cellular connectivity to your installation.

SIM card requirement:

The GX LTE requires a Mini-SIM card, which is not included. A suitable SIM card and mobile data plan must be provided separately to access cellular internet services. Network availability and compatibility depend on the SIM provider, local coverage and supported cellular frequency bands.

Compatibility and intended regions:

This GX LTE 4G-E model is intended for use in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), South Korea and Thailand. Please ensure that the mobile network operator and SIM card you intend to use support the required network bands in your installation location.
