The Victron Quattro 48/15000/200-100/100 is a highly versatile hybrid inverter/charger that intelligently combines a powerful 15000VA 48V pure sine wave inverter, a sophisticated 200A adaptive battery charger, and a dual 100A high-speed AC transfer switch into one robust unit. With its dual AC inputs, multiple outputs, and wide rapnge of advanced features, the Quattro is an ideal solution for off-grid, backup, and hybrid energy systems in both residential and commercial applications.

Key functions:

1. 15000VA 48V pure sine wave inverter: Converts DC current into 230VAC mains electricity to run a wide variety of household and professional appliances such as TVs, computers, lighting, power tools, fridges, and more. Capable of generating up to 12000W of continuous power with a strong peak power handling capability of 25000W (to start demanding appliances such as pumps, compressors, or motors). As a pure sine wave inverter, it delivers superior performance compared to modified sine wave models, ensuring high efficiency and full compatibility with sensitive electronics.

2. Adaptive 200A 4-stage smart battery charger (bulk – absorption – float – storage): Designed to provide safe and efficient unattended charging of 48V battery banks. Its microprocessor-controlled adaptive charging system can be tailored for various battery types, while automatically optimising the charging process based on usage.

3. Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) with dual 100A AC inputs and output: The inverter/charger features two independent 100A AC inputs, allowing connection to separate power sources such as the grid and a generator, or two generators. The system automatically selects and switches to the available power source. High-speed 100A AC transfer switches provide seamless load management during power interruptions. AC Output 1 delivers true no-break functionality, automatically transferring connected loads to battery/inverter power in less than 20 milliseconds if the grid or generator supply fails, ensuring uninterrupted operation of sensitive equipment such as computers, communications systems, and other critical loads. AC Output 2 is only active when an AC input source is available, making it ideal for non-essential loads such as water heaters and helping to prevent unnecessary battery discharge by separating critical and non-critical circuits.

Additional intelligent features:

• PowerControl: Prevents generator or grid overload by dynamically managing the AC input current. The Quattro intelligently prioritises loads and allocates remaining capacity to battery charging.


• PowerAssist: Supplements limited grid or generator power with additional inverter power from the batteries. This ensures peak demand periods are covered without requiring oversized AC sources.


• Programmable relay and Assistants: Customisable functions for generator auto-start, system integration, and advanced energy management via Victron Assistants software.


• Parallel & Three-phase capability: Up to 6 Quattros can be connected in parallel for higher power, and three units can be configured for true three-phase output. The system can be further expanded with up to four parallel strings of three-phase 8kVA units, delivering up to 180kVA (144kW) of inverter power and 2400A charging capacity.


• Inbuilt safety protection: The Quattro offers complete protection against potential hazards such as output short circuit, overload, battery overvoltage & undervoltage, overheating, 230 VAC on inverter output (e.g., from another AC source), and input voltage ripple that is too high.


• Split-phase option: When combined with a Victron autotransformer, a split-phase output (240V/60Hz) can be created from a 230V model.


• Off-grid and grid-connected capability: Fully compatible with solar PV and hybrid systems, including both grid-tie inverters and MPPT solar chargers. Built-in loss of mains detection allows safe grid interaction.


• Remote monitoring and control: Compatible with GX devices (e.g. Cerbo GX Mark 2), and the free Victron VRM portal, allowing monitoring and configuration from anywhere in the world.
